What You Do.
- Facilitate initiatives that reside within the Sargento Corporate Portfolio, thus including new products, new production capabilities, process improvements, cost optimizations, and/or technology implementations.
- Assist with the management of complex, strategic programs and projects.
- Develop knowledge of internal operational and/or technical capabilities to assess and provide input on feasibility in early project phases.
- Collaborate with functional business areas' project leaders to clarify overall project objective, scope, timeline and needed resources.
- Facilitate project team meetings to establish deliverables, validate and confirm acceptance, track progress and project status, convey a sense of urgency to meet aggressive timelines, question appropriately, hold team members accountable and provide recognition.
- As part of the project team, identify, mitigate, prioritize, manage and help drive resolution of project and team issues, conflicts, constraints, dependencies and risks in a time sensitive manner. Recommend and manage changes to project scope, deliverables, timelines and resources to ensure project success.
- Provide transparency to stakeholders with continuous communication through meeting minutes, project updates, status reports, presentations and participation in leadership meetings as requested. Escalate risks to management in a timely manner and provide recommendations to resolve.
- Establish and maintain essential project and product documentation and retention. Provide support to project portfolio management and documentation as requested.
- Conduct post project evaluations and assess results. Work with cross functional project teams to optimize and create new processes to deliver project results.
- Use and support the team utilization of standard operating procedures and other established business processes. Recommend process improvements.
- Learn best business process and project management practices by participating in forums, seminars, training, user groups, and other organizations.
Your Education and Experience.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required with 0-2 years of related experience and/or training.
- This position requires knowledge of and/or exposure to foundational project management skills.
- Experience with applying project management practices preferred.
- Operations, new product development, or IT exposure or work experience preferred.
