Position Summary

The Inventory and Production Control Manager will lead a team to maintain and improve manufacturing systems, material tracking, raw material warehouse efficiency and shortage resolution. This leader will manager inventory levels by establishing goals, rotating stock, reviewing current methods and procedures and creating standard work to make continuing improvements. This position will work cross functionally across multiple groups including, Planning, marketing, Purchasing, and Production to ensure on-time delivery of products.

This role requires onsite work in St Louis, MO.

What You'll do as a Inventory and Production Control Manager


  • Responsible to manage all aspects of materials flow and to maintain control and accuracy over all goods inventories, including all transactions, kanbans, planning, scheduling, warehouse, receiving, and shipping to ensure that Customer orders are fulfilled on time.



  • Ensure on-time delivery of products by establishing effective communication and processes with various groups such as Planning, Marketing, Purchasing and Production departments.



  • Establish and implement methods and best practices related to the systems and process that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.



  • Responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the Daily Cycle Count program and analyzing problem counts to control the site's physical inventory. Ensures that this program remains Sarbanes Oxley compliant. Responsible for all reconciliation activity. Reports results of this program to senior level management.



    • Minimize lost and rejected materials and maintain or improve Inventory accuracy.
    • Minimize overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital
    • Ensure incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure
    • Monitoring material inventories, tracking progress of production and reviewing factors that affect schedules.
    • Responsible for the disposition process and procedures for all disposition material within the inventory.
    • Ensure works orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job correctly.
    • Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the material management operations.


  • Ensure accuracy of inventory counts by implementing and managing an inventory control system, capable of identifying discrepancies in inventory counts and taking corrective action to guard against inconsistencies in the future.

  • Drive all Company Quality Policies (MDSAP,ISO 13485, NEEC, C-TPAT, OHSAS18001, PED, Celo, ASME).


  • Manage and Responsible for $40-50 Million in Inventory within the Plant Location.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required



  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Supervisor/Manager in Production Control/Manufacturing.
  • 5+ years of experience in Production control/manufacturing process.
  • Thorough knowledge of material planning and shop floor control systems.
  • Knowledge of master scheduling, purchasing, inventory control, Multi-level BOM and part routing.



Other



  • Knowledge of APICS.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRO systems and their use in a manufacturing environment, as well as kanban implementations and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley Act.
