Position Description The role involves traveling to end-user installations of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and provide training on controls and maintenance. Additionally, the position includes assisting customers with support and troubleshooting via phone and email, and educating contractors on equipment through Service School. Key Responsibilities Perform field trips to end user installations of commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment Start-up HVAC equipment to ensure proper equipment operation (verifying gas pressure, electrical component operation, safety checks, etc.) Verify good HVAC equipment installation practices and standards have been used Provide equipment owner training to familiarize end users with equipment controls and maintenance requirements Travel will be primarily within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico When in the office, they assist customers via phone and email with support and troubleshooting questions Assist with Service School to educate contractors on equipment Required Education & Qualifications Associates Degree preferred. High School Diploma Required Familiar with electrical and piping components and schematics Familiarity with a variety of HVAC system components, such as fans and blowers, electric motors, heating and cooling coils, gas fired heating systems, energy recovery systems, air filtration, DDC controls, etc. a plus Must be able to travel, typically by vehicle and/or air Good math, grammar and spelling skills, neat handwriting or printing Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Excellent analytical problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills Microsoft Office experience Enjoy working in a team atmosphere Ability to prioritize tasks Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
