Job Description

The Quality Supervisor reports directly to the site Quality Manager and is responsible for leading the hourly quality technicians in the gage crib, receiving inspection, warranty department, CMM programming and managing these areas to our Internal Quality Management System and ISO 9001. Would serve as the Quality functional lead in the event of the Quality Manager's absence.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following




  • Manage a team of 9+ hourly technicians in daily work. Complete all managerial duties associated with this (i.e. performance appraisals, coaching, coordinating daily work, etc.).
  • Responsible for gage compliance and requirements for new and existing gaging. Understand and source new gaging and metrology standards including calibration and gage capability.
  • Responsible for driving customer return investigations including warranty and processing claims.
  • Internal auditor for ISO 9001 and internal quality management system. Understand and lead plant toward IATF 16949 compliance.
  • Lead projects to improve product reliability and quality for internal and supplied product.
  • Support supplier resourcing projects through PPAP requirements and other requirements for inspection (Advanced product quality planning)
  • Support change management program through PPAP and execution
  • Interpret and communicate complex data
  • Travel to include internal or external supplier or customer visits, intercompany audits, training. 1 week per month maximum.
  • Works primarily on day shift, but will need to flex work schedule as needed to support communication to night shifts

Required (basic) qualifications -



  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5 years' work experience in a manufacturing environment in either engineering or quality functio



Preferred qualifications -



  • Engineering or other technical degree
  • 2 years' supervisory experience
  • CQT, CQE, EIT, CQA certifications
