Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00AM- 2:40PM

Pay Range: $22.00-$26.00

Position Description:

Drivers perform various tasks here a Wabash that vary from location to location.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: As mentioned above Drivers can be responsible for a multitude of things, below are examples of the type of duties you could be responsible for:

• Moving Chassis from facilities or locations
• Pull trucks for drops
• installation of mirrors
• use of small tools
• Own and help improve are Safety, Quality, and Delivery, performance
• Keeping their work area free of any potential work hazards
• Caulking materials
• Measuring and cutting material
• Installing rivets
• Operating heavy machinery
• Installing truck bed flooring
• Following decal templates/ blueprints
• Install signs, reflectors, fenders, mud flaps and other associated parts
• Performs additional work as assigned by the Supervisor or Team leader. This may require the employee to flex into another department
• Wear approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses with side shields, respirators, hearing protection, etc.
• Complete assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices. This includes regard to individual safety, the safety of co-workers and the safe use of equipment in the workplace.

Below is a list of examples of the potential tools and equipment you may find yourself working with depending upon your department and location. Wabash provides all the necessary training for you to feel comfortable and confident to perform your new job:

• Circular Saws
• Drills
• Impacts
• Rivet Guns
• Staplers
• Caulk Applicators
• Routers

Qualifications:

• Must have a valid Driver's license at all times
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT medical examination
• Must be able to drive Manual and Automatic trucks
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Basic reading /writing/ & verbal skills

Knowledge, Training, Skills and/or Experience:

Experience and education are great to come into this position with. However, it's not required, here at Wabash, we give you the training to become comfortable in any Assembler position. Upon receiving an offer letter from us, you'll undergo orientation and several days of training, preparing you for the production floor.
