The Home Infusion Pharmacy Manager is responsible for pharmacy operations and clinical pharmacy oversight of the home infusion program. Further, the Manager is responsible for supervision, staff development, and assessment of staff competency. Provides leadership and overall accountability for home infusion pharmacy services. Ensures cost effective delivery of services, consistent customer service, clinical effectiveness, and patient safety in home infusion. Works collaboratively with the Assistant Chief Pharmacy Officer - Home Infusion as well as other leaders in the home infusion service line to plan, implement, and monitor new programs and processes that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of home infusion services. Plans and coordinates the development of pharmacists and technicians to meet regulatory requirements and patient needs. Participates on departmental and interdisciplinary committees. Participates in on call as needed.
The Pharmacy Manager serves as the pharmacist in charge for the home infusion pharmacy at the Shared Services Center (SSC). Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, USP, The Joint Commission, and professional practice standards as well as University and department policies, procedures, and standards. Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure continued growth and success of the home infusion service line.

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position.
- Current and unrestricted California Pharmacist License or license eligible. If license eligible, must obtain and provide California Pharmacist License within six (6) months of hire.
- Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) or equivalent degree
- Prior management experience within in a Hospital or Infusion Pharmacy setting OR completion of a Health System Pharmacy Administration residency
- Sterile Product/Hazardous Drug Management experience
- Competent on the ever-changing regulations around pharmacy practice by the Board of Pharmacy, CDPH, and TJC.
- Full working understanding of USP 795, USP 797, USP 800 and how they integrate within the business lines.
- Foundational managerial skills to lead and influence groups of people in a dynamic inter-professional environment as well as be a highly accountable and organized project manager for construction, operational, and informatics projects.
- Outstanding communicator as well as have an excellent grasp of pharmacy operations, including but not limited to e-prescribing, clinical management, sterile compounding, pharmacy operations, hazardous drug management, and customer service.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Board Certification [(e.g., Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP), Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP)] or equivalent
- Master's degree (MHA, MBA, MS) or equivalent
- PGY1/PGY2 Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience
- PGY2 Oncology Residency Training
- Sterile Compounding experience
- Home infusion management experience
