Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our Corporate GenAI team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data interpretation, visualization techniques, and the ability to deliver actionable insights. This role involves designing and developing BI solutions, data models, and KPI measures to solve business problems. The Data and Analytics Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the usability and effectiveness of data visualizations and will also integrate solutions with the Power Platform. You will also have an opportunity to work on Corporate GenAI and Automation projects.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Insight Generation & Strategy Support
    • Analyze and mine data to generate insights that inform product direction and organizational strategy.
    • Recommend data-driven initiatives and priorities to engineering and business teams.
    • Identify and scope data projects that align with strategic goals.
    • Provide actionable recommendations for product improvements based on usage patterns, performance metrics, and user feedback data.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • Partner with architects, technical teams, and reporting stakeholders to define and deliver impactful reporting solutions.
    • Collaborate with internal data teams to interpret financial, workforce, operational, and risk-related data for executive-level reporting (e.g., QBRs, MBRs).
    • Respond to ad-hoc data requests from program managers and external stakeholders, ensuring timely and relevant insights.
  • Reporting & Dashboarding
    • Design, build, and maintain dashboards and reports that support intake tracking, automation initiatives, and organizational performance metrics.
    • Present data insights and recommendations to senior leadership and C-level executives in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Data Infrastructure & Optimization
    • Develop scalable data pipelines and workflows using various data sources and platforms.
    • Build and manage scheduled reporting systems to ensure timely delivery of recurring insights.
    • Provide comprehensive, high-level insights through dashboards tailored for leadership and executive stakeholders.
    • Optimize data models and queries for performance, reliability, and maintainability.
    • Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across all reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor and analyze key metrics such as code commits, training effectiveness, and operational uplift to support continuous improvement.
    • Explore opportunities for automation and process enhancement in data reporting and analytics.

Technical Skills:

  • Data Engineering & Analysis
    • Proficiency in SQL (queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).
    • Experience with data lakes and warehouses (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Microsoft SQL Server, PySpark).
    • Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data governance best practices.
    • Ability to build automated data pipelines and scheduled reporting systems.
  • Visualization & Reporting
    • Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, and D3.js.
    • Familiarity with Tableau Prep, Power Query, DAX, and M language.
    • Experience delivering executive dashboards with strategic insights.
  • Platform Integration
    • Experience with Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents).
    • Ability to integrate BI solutions with RESTful APIs and other data services.
  • GenAI & Automation
    • Familiarity with foundational GenAI concepts and how to support GenAI initiatives through data infrastructure.
    • Experience working with LLM-powered tools and platforms to support automation and intelligent reporting.
    • Ability to prepare and structure data for training, fine-tuning, or evaluating GenAI models.
    • Understanding of prompt engineering basics and how data quality impacts GenAI outputs.

Exposure to tools like Azure OpenAI, LangChain, or similar frameworks for integrating GenAI into business workflows

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Time Management: Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Project Management: Experience in managing BI projects, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of insights.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to continuously experimenting with new methodologies and improving processes.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 124,700.00 to 180,650.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
