Primary Function The Quality Analyst reviews, analyzes SOWs, drawings, specifications, quality standards such as AS9100, AS9110, ISO 10012, FAA Part 145, AR 95-20, DCMA 8210, FAA Part 145, IPC A 610, IPC A 600, J Std 001, ANSI/IPC A WHMA 620 and others similar and develop a quality process requirements & plan to verify completion of fabrication, installation, product configuration, supplier's performance, adherence to workmanship, develop audit checklist, conduct audits and essentially assesses compliance of parts, processes, sub-assemblies, integrated assemblies, wire harnesses, cable assemblies and QMS systems as necessary and reports and coordinates resolution to issues and participate in the solution process. Essential Duties
- Provide Quality Assurance technical expertise to the assigned project, process, function within the company
- Develop initiates methods for inspection, evaluate product & processes, revises and applies technical quality assurance methods to inspect, test, verify in process raw materials, parts, sub-assemblies, finished products and QMS Processes internally or externally.
- Ensure activities and items are in compliance with company and customer requirements on drawings, specifications or applicable standards including AS9100 / AS9110 as required
- Performs analysis and identifies trends based on inspections at various stages of process from supply chain to final delivery, final inspection, test or audits
- Provides solutions as necessary, participates in root cause and corrective action process
- Ensures established processes, routers, procedures, drawings requirements are met
- Evaluates, develops and prepares supporting data such as First Articles IAW AS9102, Audit Reports, CARs, PARs, and SCARs as necessary including metrics and acting on trends
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team atmosphere is a must
- Demonstrate an ability to work independently , take initiatives, get involved and transform the processes to deliver to customer expectations
Supervisory Responsibilities The company however evaluates performance, leadership skills, technical knowledge and individual achievements and these factors do help the company make decisions such as recommending personnel for promotions when necessary Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Well versed in IPC A 610, IOC A 600, J Std 001, ANSI/WHMA-A-620, ANSI/Y 14.5M, AS9100, AS9110, AS9102
- Experience in reading drawings, prints, quality standards & specifications, notes, familiarity with various DOD/Military/Aviation parts and requirements
- Well versed in CARC Paint process, Machining, Plating & Finishing, Welding to AWS specification with respect to Steel of various grades, Aluminum of virus grades, SS of various grades, NDI/NDT techniques, fasteners, torque, go no go gages, thread gages, G D & T fundamentals
- Experience & knowledgeable in Quality assurance principles & fundamentals of Root Cause determination using 5 why, FMEA, fundamentals of Quality Assurance , Supplier Quality fundamentals including flow down of requirements to suppliers, developing suppliers, assessing their performance, managing risks and calculating ratings and assisting other functions in the company as necessary
- Ability to analyze raw data using Pareto Diagram and tracking issues and developing preventive actions in a fast paces real time basis to deal with urgent customer requirements
Required Qualifications Quality Analyst II - Associate degree + 2 to 4 Years Experience OR High School / GED + 8 to 12 Years Experience
- A strong background and experience in a Quality Assurance, Quality Control, QMS environment is a must
- Ability to identify a trend, conduct root cause analysis, use Quality principles, check product workmanship to industry or military specifications is a must
- QMS Auditing background is helpful
- Ability to communicate, write, discuss professionally and harmoniously is a must
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
