Description Acara Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technic ian (Guide Way ) for our client in Phoenix, AZ Maintenance Technician - GW- Job Description The Maintenance Technician will troubleshoot and identify failure causes; repair or initiate the repair of failed items and perform recovery/corrective or preventive maintenance of vehicle and wayside systems, subsystems, and components. Preventive maintenance, inspection, and adjustment tasks and procedures are well established and require normal supervision. Incumbents will follow the direction of higher-level personnel in preventive or corrective maintenance phases of work. Associates exercise considerable latitude and open judgment in the troubleshooting and recommended repair of equipment. Key Responsibilities Remove all old power rail covers from inside the beam and on the power rail. Install new power rail covers throughout the system. Conduct debris clean-up from the guideway utilizing vacuums, brooms, and shovels. Reviews and understands safety instructions, procedures, nature of technical activity and possible solutions Follows all Alstom security and safety instructions or procedures to prevent any personal injuries Maintain a safe fleet that will meet the demands of a reliable commuter service. Performs other duties as assigned or required. What you'll get: Contract: Temp Duration: 8-12 months Location: Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Shift: 3^rd _ 10:00 pm to 6 am Pay: $20.00 p/hr. + 10 % differential Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Basic mechanical or maintenance experience, understanding of use with general hand tools High School diploma or GED equivalent Proficient in the English Language Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to work 3rd shift Must obtain and maintain certifications in compliance with all state and federal regulations applicable to this position Preferred Skills Ability to pass federal background check, drug test and physical exam. Responsible with attendance Motivated to learn. Additional Information Airport requirement must pass FAA background and security check to obtain SIDA access badge.
