Job Summary:

The FP&A Intern will be exposed to and support financial planning, analysis, and decision-support initiatives within the organization. This includes working and collaboratively with various departments, to provide insights that support strategic business decisions and optimize financial performance.

Duties/Responsibilities:



  • Financial Planning and Forecasting:


    • Be exposed to and gain an understanding of key business drivers and assumptions
    • Prepare financial reports and variance analysis for key stakeholders.


  • Financial Modeling and Analysis:


    • Be exposed to complex financial models used to support decision-making processes, including scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and investment evaluations.
    • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support special projects, strategic initiatives, and investment opportunities.


  • Business Performance Monitoring:


    • Be exposed to monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to assess business performance and identify areas of improvement.
    • Assist in the development of executive-level dashboards and reporting tools to track financial and operational performance against targets.


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:


    • Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, accounting, operations, and other departments to enhance financial analysis and reporting capabilities.




Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial planning software (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, etc.).
  • Understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and key performance metrics.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate financial concepts effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build positive working relationships at all levels of the organization.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
