Overview

Under the direction of the department head, plans, directs and supervises the non clinical staff, quality assurance, and accreditation programs, assists with payroll for the CV Imaging department and satellite locations. Responsible for timely and accurate billing of the department. Additional duties include patient satisfaction, coordination of patient input, scheduling, and out patient marketing/liaison to referral sources.



Responsibilities

    Supervises clerical operations to assure timely completion of reports.
  • Appropriately staffs work unit to meet the needs of patients/customers while meeting CentraState and regulatory agency standards.
  • Assists Director with the development of Department Performance Improvement and Quality Control Plans and reports.
  • Designs and formats the rehabilitation computer module making changes when appropriate.
  • Maintains files, books, and correspondence necessary for Accreditation by The Joint Commission.
  • Keeps the Director's calendar and coordinates his meetings within the Department as well as throughout the hospital.
  • Performs Quality Assurance studies as needed for outside agencies (Joint Commission, CMS) utilizing statistical information obtained from the Computer Program.
  • Prepares applications for State Department of Health, accreditation agencies in conjunction with Clinical Director.
  • Maintains an adequate level of supplies to deliver quality patient care and customer service. Takes minutes for the Supervisors and Quality Assurance meetings.
  • Develops and assist in development of programs for department.
  • Prepares time records and submits to Payroll prior to deadline.
  • Works with referral sources to improve communication and promote services of Cardilogy service line.
  • Has offsite duties of responsibility at satellites and on a regular basis ensures growth of current referral sources and develops new potential referral sources.
  • Maintains productivity within guidelines set by department.
  • Coordinates and schedules front desk coverage.
  • Orders supplies.
  • Provides direct supervision to patient access and office staff.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 5 years of related experience required
  • Experience with working with office staff preferred
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Training in secretarial skills, medical terminology and medical transcription required
  • Computer experience including word-processing, spreadsheets, and database management required
  • Experience with working with office staff preferred
  • Strong professional, organizational, and interpersonal skills to effectively relate with all members of the healthcare team

Compensation Range: $48,750 - $82,880 annually

The compensation above reflects the established range from CentraState Healthcare System (CSHS) for this position at the time the job was posted. CSHS considers many factors to determine compensation, including education, experience, skills, licenses, certification, and training. As such, team member compensation may fall outside this range.

Additionally, the compensation range reflects base salary and does not include extra shift rates or incentives tied to quality, productivity, etc., as applicable.

The benefits outlined also reflect CSHS' policy at the time of posting. Benefits as are made available to other similarly situated team members of CSHS, although participation is at all times in accordance with and subject to the eligibility and other provisions of such plans and programs.
