Assessment program assesses approximately 3,500 FTE per year. The program is expanding to include both written and practical assessments for VMI/Quality Support FTE. Process development to include creation and testing of new assessments, introduction of new technologies, management of contractor data/performance through ITS/ISN systems and Span of Control (SOC), expansion of the assessment yard, and cross functional communication to all stakeholders. Operational Safety team is responsible for management, tracking and reporting all safety related data for approximately 6,500 FTE (4,000 tree crew and 2,500 VMI/Support). This includes trending and reporting out for all safety incidents. Works closely with internal safety teams such as Enterprise Health & Safety (EH&S) and VM Grassroots to review safety data to develop communication and training plans to role out to the VM organization. Also responsible for contractor oversight in the field; reporting out on safety incidents/High Life Threats (HLTs) and enforcement of SOC. This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned work location based on business need. The assigned work location will be within the PG&E Service Territory. Must be able to work in Dublin and or San Ramon once a week and be willing to travel throughout the territory for field visits; also must be willing to travel for industry events/conferences, etc. Reporting Relationship This position reports to the Senior Director Vegetation Construction Management. Job Responsibilities Leads the department to develop/manage a budget of approximately $25 million (including any additional funding related to WMP commitments) and monitor, forecast and report on budget performance. * Lead the VM Operational Safety team to drive down safety related incidents and meet organizational metrics. Oversee the safety data/reporting process. Manage communications within VM organizations that include weekly, monthly and quarterly communications to discuss safety findings/incidents, trends and any updates to safety protocols. Regular meetings in person with the operations teams, contract partners, and VM leadership to discuss safety performance. * Collaborates with and influences internal/external safety metrics. Works with EH&S, VM Grassroots, and other internal stakeholders to develop and track yearly performance metrics. * Lead for VM for Operations Safety Collaboration Center (OSCC) and High Life Threat (HLT)/ safety incident reviews. * Collaborate and influence on issues and developments affecting VM, including but not limited to, future developments of Electric Operations (EO) assessment program and LAND vendor assessments. * Owner for Construction Management (CM) Safe Work Practices (SWP) and other safety related standards/documents. * Lead cross utility safety initiatives which include benchmarking with other utilities and attending safety conferences. Compensation PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. Although we estimatethe successful candidate hiredinto this rolewill be placed towards the middle or entry point of the range, the decisionwill be made on a case-by-casebasis related tothese factors. A reasonable salary range is: Bay Area Minimum: $170,000 Bay Area Maximum:$290,000 Or California Minimum:$162,000 California Maximum:$276,000 Background Qualifications Minimum * Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or job-related discipline or equivalent experience * Job-related experience, 12 years * Leadership experience, 7 years * CA Class C License, or equivalent Desired * Master's Degree or equivalent experience * PMP-Project Management Professional certification *ISA-International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist Utility Specialist certification |
