Job DescriptionThe Project Manager must demonstrate strong time management skills for scheduling their own time and the time of the project team, and for effectively tracking work effort for all technical and non-technical tasks. They will need to be flexible to adjust project plans and their approach to meet the technical and business needs of the customer and the project, while maintaining project objectives and proactively updating the project champion on any risks to the budget based on work progress. This role requires a solid understanding of IT principles and technologies, along with the ability to identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement within projects.

The salary range for this position is $49,084.31 - $53,992.74

The final salary offer will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Please Note: This is a hybrid position that requires travel to one of our TSTC locations

Essential Functions

  • Employee will demonstrate TSTC Core values of Excellence, Accountability, Service and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students and members of the community.
  • Serve as liaison between TSTC customer, functional team(s), vendors, and IT resources 20%
  • Coordinates, plans, and evaluates projects using accepted project management methodologies
  • Coordinate and modify the activities of the project to ensure the project is delivered on time and within scope.
  • Documents project charter, project plans, project documents, and project change request throughout the project life cycle using the PMIS and team shared files and folders
  • Monitors and reports project schedule slippage, risks, changes and the potential impact of adjustments.
  • Lead and develop the project team in the planning of the project governance documentation in preparation for transition to support upon project completion.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills

  • Associate Degree in Technical Field or Bachelor Degree
  • Previous experience in various IT positions
  • Two years of office administrative or business management experience.
  • Two years of customer service related experience.
  • Project management experience (a plus)
  • Coaching and mentoring skills valuable
  • Experience leading Onsite and Virtual Teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and clients verbally and through written communication.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Must possess the ability to work with customers and IT peers
  • Ability to multi-task in an organized and timely manner, managing both technical and administrative aspects of projects.
  • Must be goal oriented, with a focus on delivering technically sound and successful project outcomes.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize technical tasks, dependencies, and track work effort effectively.
  • Must be able to balance and prioritize requests from multiple people
  • CompTIA A+, Network +, Security +, Project +, ITIL Foundations, PMI - CAPM or PMP (a plus)
  • May need to work evening or weekend hours during project implementation.
  • 5% of Job duties may require travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and related software development or project management frameworks.

  • Working knowledge of Application Systems, System Administration, Networking, and Help Desk Troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of architectural concepts, including the ability to read and interpret floor plans and related technical documents.
