Scheduler III

The Scheduler III performs a verity of functions related to the scheduling of facility based surgical, imaging or other functions. Working under limited supervision, this role helps ensure that all pre-registration and authorization information is included before patient appointments in order to facilitate seamless service.


Schedules patient consults and sends new patient packets with the medical history questionnaire, patient instruction, and any other preparation needed prior to their appointment to facilitate service.
Completes pre-registration for scheduled exams in order to ensure that it includes complete documentation of authorization information.
Schedules for department related exams or procedures for patients in an organized way to provide high quality and efficient service.
Ensures the correct patient and exam are selected for the appointment by using available sources to obtain/validate patient demographics and insurance information.
Matches orders to the correct scheduled exam and initiates solutions for incorrect orders and lab results in a timely manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:
Required: High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
Required: 4 years of experience
