POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Facilities Project Engineer, you'll lead high-impact capital projects and facility improvements that directly enhance production, safety, sustainability, and innovation at our St. Cloud and Crookston manufacturing plants. WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Lead and manage capital and facility improvement projects from design to execution
  • Prepare and oversee project budgets, timelines, and implementation plans
  • Develop Business cases and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses for new initiatives and improvements
  • Maintain and update CAD layouts across manufacturing sites
  • Specify and coordinate capital equipment installations, upgrades, and layout changes
  • Support lease negotiations and real estate planning for North American Bus and Coach (NABC) facilities
  • Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Process Planning, and Tool & Die teams
  • Present updates to Facility Council and senior stakeholders
  • Champion lean manufacturing initiatives and support make/buy strategic decisions
  • Promote safe, clean and energy-efficient facility operations
  • Embed continuous improvement into all aspects of facilities work
Requirements
  • A degree in Engineering or a combination of related education and experience
  • 2-5 years of experience managing capital or facilities projects (PMP certification a plus)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Oracle, and MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
  • Experience with lean manufacturing concepts and implementation
  • Strong organizational and communication skills - confidence presenting to leadership
  • Adaptability in fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environments
