About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Telecom Project Manager to lead and coordinate complex projects with Tier 1 telecommunications providers. This individual will serve as a critical point of contact between internal teams and client stakeholders, ensuring that delivery, implementation, and operational excellence align with strategic objectives.

Youll play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end delivery of telecom infrastructure and services across multi-functional teams in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead full lifecycle project management of telco-specific deployments, upgrades, and service initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for Tier 1 Telco clientsowning communications, expectations, and escalations.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocation, risk mitigation strategies, and status reporting.
  • Drive alignment across engineering, operations, product, legal, and finance teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of client-specific requirements, business goals, and network technologies (e.g., 5G, fiber, cloud, OSS/BSS).
  • Manage vendor coordination and ensure compliance with SLAs, regulatory guidelines, and security protocols.
  • Track KPIs and project performance; provide regular executive updates and insights.
  • Facilitate post-project reviews to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of resource plans ensuring effective resource allocation and distribution across portfolio of projects
  • Utilize project management tools and techniques to improve execution and drive efficiency.
  • Implements engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope
  • Effectively create and execute risk management plans
  • Understand and manage key project financial components to ensure projects are delivered within budget
  • Responsible for quality and timely execution of deliverables across projects

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience within the telecom industry, preferably supporting Tier 1 Telco clients.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, cross-functional telecom projects involving network infrastructure, 5G, Ethernet, Backhaul, Fiber Transport, or OSS/BSS.
  • Strong understanding of carrier-grade services, network operations, and service delivery processes.
  • Experience in a Professional Services or Managed Services environment is required (critical: must have led external customer-facing projects not internal operational projects)
  • Understanding of financial processes; ability to understand, analyze and create financial reports preferably in Clarity
  • Ability to work independently and aggressively track to project timelines
  • Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate well with customers and co-workers
  • Experience in effectively influencing and leading personnel and the ability to write business reports in a well-organized manner
  • Strong team building skills
  • Excellent problem solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
  • Proficiency with project management software

Nice to Have:

  • Background in engineering, network planning, or telecom service delivery.
  • Familiarity with Telco-specific systems and delivery models.
  • Agile or SAFe certification.
  • Experience working in vendor or systems integrator environments.
  • Networking, Storage, Virtualization, Cloud, Security or Collaboration (Unified Communications) Project Management experience

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly rate range for this position is $55-$65 per hour. Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ.
