Assistant Lead WARSIM Tech Instructor

DUTIES:

Train, Coach and Supervise Rotational Training Unit (RTU) personnel and newly assigned personnel in the use and execution of a WARSIM Battle Space Workstation (BSWS) and/or follow-on constructive simulations. Familiarity with Army Command and Control Systems and basic instruction on Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE) or follow-on systems. Work closely with the Wrap Around brigades, Opposing Forces (OPFOR) and Database personnel in the development of system files used in support of Unit Training Events. Coordinate and work closely with JRTC Observer Controller Trainers (OCTs) in the execution of Unit Training Events. Assist the BLUFOR Maneuver Team Lead in the development of unit operational plans using current doctrine and tactics. Supervise up to 4 additional maneuver coaches, and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:

High School Diploma. Former Sergeant First Class (E-7) or above assigned to Combat or Combat Support units. Held a Leadership position at Company, Battalion or Brigade level. At least six months of experience executing constructive exercises at the Brigade Combat Team or higher. Familiar with BSWS maneuver operations.

Desired Experience:

Associate's Degree, Battle Staff, CTC OC experience. Joint Service Staff experience. Recent Combat experience.

Additional Requirements:

Must be able to travel unaccompanied within the continental US and foreign locations. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must possess and maintain active security clearance. Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening; will be subject to random drug screening.
