Position Responsibilities

We're seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Product Marketing Manager to lead the go-to-market strategy for our industry-leading GovCon software solutions. This is a high-impact individual contributor role perfect for a seasoned product marketer who thrives on translating complex solutions into compelling business value while driving strategic market leadership.

As a key member of our product marketing team, you'll be the strategic bridge between our innovative products and the government contracting market, owning end-to-end GTM execution while leveraging cutting-edge AI tools to maximize efficiency and impact.

What You'll Own

Strategic Leadership

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Drive comprehensive GTM strategies for assigned GovCon solutions, serving as the strategic quarterback across product, sales, and customer success teams
  • Market Vision: Shape product roadmap and business strategy through deep market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer insights
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead without authority across matrixed teams, influencing product direction and sales strategy through data-driven insights

Core Product Marketing Excellence

  • Messaging & Positioning: Develop differentiated, research-backed messaging that resonates with government contractors and clearly articulates measurable business value
  • Sales Enablement: Create high-impact sales tools, pitch decks, and training programs that directly drive revenue growth
  • Content Strategy: Develop compelling, multi-channel content strategies including webinars, thought leadership, and digital campaigns
  • Pricing & Packaging: Partner with product and finance teams to optimize pricing strategies based on customer research and competitive dynamics

Industry Leadership & Innovation

  • Thought Leadership: Represent Deltek as a subject matter expert at industry events, customer forums, and in external thought leadership
  • AI-Powered Marketing: Leverage generative AI and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, personalize content, and scale marketing efforts
  • Market Intelligence: Conduct sophisticated market research and competitive analysis, translating insights into actionable strategic recommendations

Qualifications

What You Bring

Required Experience

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience in B2B software (SaaS strongly preferred)
  • Deep GovCon industry expertise, including A&D manufacturing and/or contract pricing/estimating processes
  • Proven GTM track record with successful product launches, messaging development, and sales enablement
  • Strategic thinking capabilities with experience influencing C-level stakeholders and driving business strategy

Core Competencies

  • Executive Communication: Exceptional written and presentation skills with experience delivering to both internal leadership and external customers
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Strong analytical skills with ability to translate market research into actionable strategies
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Proven ability to lead and influence in matrixed organizations without direct authority
  • AI Proficiency: Demonstrated experience leveraging GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to enhance productivity and content quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership Experience: Previous people management or team leadership in product marketing capacity
  • Industry Certifications: Relevant GovCon industry credentials or training
  • Technical Acumen: Understanding of software development processes and technical product marketing

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $98000.00 - $171500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
