This position will be based in our HQ located in Ashburn, VA.

Position Overview:

The Director of Program Management (DPM) will lead planning, execution, and operational oversight across multiple complex, high-visibility government programs. These programs require deep expertise in managing distributed teams, modernizing infrastructure, and navigating federal acquisition requirements. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, the DPM will drive excellence in delivery, financial performance, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Program Leadership:Lead multi-year, large-scale infrastructure modernization and IT service delivery programs, overseeing all aspects from planning through closeout across geographically dispersed teams.
  • Client Engagement:Serve as the senior operational interface with government customers, establishing and maintaining trusted relationships and ensuring successful execution to SLAs and KPIs.
  • Team Oversight:Direct program and project managers across multiple contracts and task orders; coach and mentor staff while driving performance in line with company values and objectives.
  • Operational and Process Maturity:Implement and sustain delivery frameworks aligned withCMMI Level 3 or higher, incorporating best practices in process standardization, continuous improvement, and quality assurance.
  • Schedule and Cost Control:Develop and manageIntegrated Master Schedules (IMS), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), staffing plans, and critical path analyses using Microsoft Project.
  • Earned Value Management (EVM):ApplyEVMS principlesto track and forecast cost and schedule performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Risk & Issue Management:Establish processes for identifying, tracking, and mitigating operational and technical risks to ensure program resilience and customer satisfaction.
  • Reporting & Metrics:Develop and deliver comprehensive program reports and dashboards to senior leadership and external stakeholders, including financial performance, milestone achievement, and contract compliance.
  • Proposal & Growth Support:Provide leadership and content for strategic bids and recompetes, partnering with Capture, Pricing, and BD teams to shape and win new business.


Technical and Domain Expertise:

The ideal candidate will possess experience and knowledge in the following areas:



  • Enterprise Connectivity & Network Modernization:

    Proven experience managing projects that include secure fixed and deployable network infrastructures, including wired/wireless technologies, LTE/5G, SD-WAN, VoIP, routing/switching, and SATCOM across classified and unclassified environments (NIPR/SIPR/JWICS).
  • Defensive Cyber Operations & Security Management:

    Strong experience in real-time threat detection, incident response, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, encryption, firewall and intrusion prevention systems, aligned with cyber defense best practices and continuity of operations planning.
  • IT Operations, Sustainment & Modernization:

    Hands-on leadership in managing SDN, VDI, VOIP, cloud and hybrid infrastructures, physical/virtual servers, SIEM platforms, system administration, and technology refreshes to ensure performance and availability of mission systems.
  • Digital Transformation & Cloud Operations:

    Demonstrated success in leading cloud migrations and managing multi-cloud environments as part of modernization and innovation initiatives.
  • Service Desk & End-User Support:

    Experience overseeing multi-tiered service desks (Tiers 0-3), ITSM toolsets, end-user device management, and high-volume call centers to drive service excellence and incident resolution.
  • Compliance, Security Architecture & Risk Management:

    In-depth knowledge of IT security operations, risk mitigation, patch/hardening strategies, and compliance with DISA STIGs, SRGs, and DoD cybersecurity directives.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in program management supportingfederal IT infrastructure, communications, or modernization programs.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationfrom PMI.
  • Deep understanding ofCMMI process areas and implementation within a delivery organization.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong command ofFederal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)and related DoD contracting practices.
  • Experience managing geographically distributed delivery teams and subcontractors.
  • Track record of success leading complex programs involving multiple task orders and high-dollar value.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain aTop Secret clearance(U.S. citizenship required).


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Active Top Secret or Secret clearance.


  • EVMS certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • ITIL or Agile certifications.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure and operations programs for DoD entities.


Additional Information:



  • Travel to customer sites may be required to support delivery execution, performance reviews, or proposal activities.
  • This position is based in Ashburn, VA with flexibility for hybrid work as approved.
