Job Description

Job Objective: Manage inventory, prepare orders, and ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to customers. Assist warehouse management daily by demonstrating leadership within the warehouse team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In addition to the essential job functions described below, all associates will perform duties requested by management. Assigned responsibilities and duties may vary based upon location size and operation.


Deliveries:

  • Deliver materials by the time scheduled by your supervisor
  • Validate directions
  • Unload or assist in unloading material as required
  • Ensure that material is properly secured and within weight limits
  • Ensure delivery of ticket with material and obtain customer signature
  • Communicate with your supervisor throughout the day


Driving:

  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Comply with all Department of Transportation (DOT) standards and regulations
  • Deliver product on time while practicing all safe procedures.
  • Always drive safely and courteously, recognizing that the vehicle and driver are visible symbols of RelaDyne to the public and all customers.


Certificates, Licensing and Software Requirements:



  • Valid Class A/B Commercial Driver's license with tanker and HazMat endorsements is required.
  • Must have valid DOT Medical Card.
  • Verifiable clean driving record. Both must be kept current


Picking/Shipping:



  • Pull orders for shipment
  • Place the material in the staging area; return the ticket to the supervisor
  • Separate material to shipping points
  • Load outgoing shipment onto trucks
  • Receive all incoming materials
  • Unload incoming shipments from trucks
  • Verify and complete the delivery receipt.
  • Note damaged or shortage on delivery receipt and have driver initials
  • Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Arrange for delivery, assembly, or distribution of supplies or parts to expedite flow of materials and meet production schedules.
  • Complete all receiving paperwork
  • Stock and stage received materials
  • Keep the receiving and shipping areas organized
  • Organize pallets and other support materials in a safe manner


Pick-Ups



  • Pick up customer returns and validate that product matches request for credit
  • Pick up local-pickup purchase orders
  • Secure and return packing list(s)


Quality



  • Verify all material has been unloaded and placed at the delivery site
  • Verify the customer's signature on the delivery ticket.
  • Review delivered orders with the supervisor for completion, accuracy, and format
  • Return all delivery ticket copies to warehouse, and verify that none are missing



Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist in warehouse operations as necessary
  • Always represent the company in a professional manner - ensuring customer loyalty
  • Abide by all polices, rules, and regulations of the company including all applicable safety rules, regulations and procedures
  • Perform the essential duties and responsibilities listed in this job description in a manner that would not endanger the health or safety of the employee, customer, or members of the public
  • Communicate warehouse concerns to supervisor

  • Walking: move about inside the office and/or branch facilities as well as airport/travel needs
  • Sit/Stand: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 percent of the time
  • Capable of traveling as required



Attendance Requirements: Attendance on a regular, consistent basis is mandatory, including arriving at the time as scheduled
