SUMMARY: Wheeler Fleet Solutions is seeking a strategic Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to lead and support financial planning processes, strategic budgeting, and corporate forecasting across all business segments. This role requires a blend of financial rigor, operational insight, and leadership acumen. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a passion for driving data-informed decision-making and supporting executive leadership with clear financial insights. This individual will also help shape FP&A infrastructure through tool implementation and collaboration with senior stakeholders, including the CFO, segment presidents, and the Board of Directors. Wheeler Fleet Solutions was recently purchased by a private equity firm, One Equity Partners, as a corporate carve-out. This is a new position at Wheeler, which will help drive growth through M&A and improvements through various business initiatives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:



  • Strategic Planning, Financial Analysis & Resource Allocation working across Wheeler's business segments in a matrixed fashion.
  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement forecasts, annual budgets, long-range plans, and capital allocation frameworks across the business segments and consolidate at corporate.
  • Provide strategic input on M&A evaluations and investment decisions and lead strategic projects.
  • Prepare board of materials and lead creation of corporate-level strategic and financial insights in collaboration with the CEO and CFO.
  • Lead standardized and accurate forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Support quarterly and annual earnings preparation materials for debt providers and board of directors.
  • Deliver financial decision support to business segment leaders, supply chain and others through financial modeling, scenario planning, and variance analysis.
  • Synthesize financial data into clear narratives for executive audiences.
  • FP&A Infrastructure Development with consistency in performance metrics, forecasting and reporting standards, and financial policies.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, data accuracy, and business acumen.
  • Contribute to broader Finance and Executive leadership team initiatives.
  • The ability to take on other responsibilities in a nimble, fast paced environment.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:



  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field and an additional 5 years of relevant experience

    • or an additional 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.


  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in FP&A or corporate finance.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting/forecasting, and corporate finance.
  • Advanced Excel skills; strong knowledge of PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain financial models and deliver actionable insights to senior leaders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:



  • MBA or relevant graduate degree; CPA, CMA, and/or CFA a plus.
  • Experience implementing or using financial planning systems (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, etc.).


OTHER:



  • Subject to background check and drug testing.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
