Medical Claims Resolution Specialist

Are you an expert in interpreting EOBs, navigating complex insurance claims, and driving resolutions? Staffmark is seeking a Medical Claims Resolution Specialist for a top-tier healthcare organization in Lafayette, LA. This is a non-entry-level opportunity ideal for experienced professionals in medical billing, collections, coding, or insurance verification who are ready to take their careers to the next level.

Pay: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No rotating shifts)

What You'll Be Doing:

As a key member of the revenue cycle team, you'll help resolve insurance and billing challenges, ensuring claims are processed and paid efficiently. Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and interpreting insurance policies, medical records, and billing documentation
• Handling denial appeals, payment discrepancies, balance billing, and claims processing
• Communicating with patients, insurance carriers, and internal departments to resolve outstanding issues
• Managing clerical duties such as handling phone calls, emails, faxes, and maintaining records
• Escalating issues and updates to the Revenue Cycle Manager or Supervisor
• Assisting with special projects or other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years in DME or general medical billing preferred
• Minimum 1 year in insurance verification or authorization required
• Familiarity with CPT/ICD-10 codes, HCFA 1500, UB04 forms
• Medicare/Medicaid billing guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and medical terminology
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer applications
