Neurologists specialize in non-surgical treatment of disorders that affect the brain, spine and nervous system. Henry Ford Neurology - Jackson offers neurological evaluation, treatment and follow-up to our patients.

Our comprehensive and integrated services address a range of neurological conditions, including stroke, multiple sclerosis, chronic migraine and other headache disorders, infections of the brain and peripheral nervous system, Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, Lou Gehrig's disease, seizure disorders, such as epilepsy, speech and language disorders, and spinal cord disorders.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients. These duties may include but are not limited to:

• Greeting and escorting patients to the exam room.
• Obtaining medical histories.
• The measurement and recording of vital signs.
• Preparing patients for an examination/procedure.
• Assisting the provider during the examination/procedure.

SHIFT DETAILS: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

LOCATION: 1201 E. Michigan Ave Ste 240 Jackson, MI 49201

STATUS: Part Time, 40 hours per week

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills preferred.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of clinical skills as related to ambulatory patient care preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve preferred. Possess effective interpersonal and communication skills preferred.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience preferred.
