GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Manager of Business Development for Strategic Partners helps lead the execution of sales activities to achieve growth goals for Commercial, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, and other government lines of business. The Sr. Manager partners with account management and new sales team to pursue specific expansion opportunities. The Sr. Manager also leads and supports deployment of new solutions to grow the business.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Manages the sales process with internal business partners and external stakeholders; responsible for analyzing data and developing insights in collaboration with Business Development leads.
  • Collaborates with Business Development leadership to strategically craft the initial "story" and "win themes" for each unique sales opportunity and incorporate into sales presentations.
  • Presents to potential customers while navigating through the sales process as opportunities are tracked and managed.
  • Partners with the health plan sales and account management teams to research, identify and engage on opportunities for Government solutions within existing clients.
  • Builds internal awareness around our Strategic Partner solutions (Medicare Advantage and Medicaid). Serves as a SME for internal resources.
  • Leads the development, execution and monetization of new Government Programs solutions.
  • Works with account management, cross functional teams and external stakeholders in order to implement new solutions and enhance awareness across clients.
  • Acts as a SME in implementation of new business and supports contracting efforts for Strategic Partners.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years' experience in consulting, health care or related field
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Strong consultative selling skills
  • Understanding of government segments (Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Fed Gov)
  • Ability to analyze data and develop business insights
  • Analytical skills with ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting required deadlines
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels internally and externally
  • 25-50% travel


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • MBA
  • Benefits, insurance or healthcare industry experience
  • Knowledge of CRM experience, preferably with Salesforce.com
  • Experience gaining stakeholder alignment, strong negotiation skills

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
