The Opportunity

Provide strategic leadership of Financial Lines Claims team comprised of claims professionals handling Private Company D&O and EPL claims, as well as Public Company D&O and Financial Institution D&O and E&O claims. Partner with underwriting leaders, including Head of Management Liability, to help develop and drive business strategies, product development and customer and broker relationships. Lead and develop Claims professionals capable of handling complex claims to achieve optimal outcomes for customers and QBE. Provide analyses and insights into claim portfolios that enables company to identify claim trends and business performance on multiple levels.

Primary Responsibilities

* Develop and lead high-performing claims team with professionals who are capable of independently assessing complex claims while also working collaboratively with their claim, legal and underwriting colleagues to put QBE's customers and QBE in the best position to achieve optimal outcomes. Develop a culture of accountability, and a team of professionals with strong broker and customer-facing skills to complement strong technical skills
*Provide claim portfolio assessments that enable company to view portfolio performance in various ways (e.g., by line of business, product, year, claim type, industry sector, etc.)
*Work with underwriting leaders in helping develop business plans and strategies
*Provide leadership and support for product development to compliment the overall Financial Lines business strategies
*Develop and maintain strong broker and customer relationships
*Work with internal operations and support teams to drive claim efficiency and compliance

Required Education
* Juris Doctorate and work experience

Required Experience
* 10+ years relevant experience

Compensation Package: The salary range for this role is provided above. The salary offer will be decided based on the role's complexity, its location, and the candidate's professional background, including their education and experience. Beyond the base salary, regular full-time and part-time employees will also be eligible for QBE's annual discretionary bonus plan based on business and individual performance.
