The Network Administrator is responsible for the configuration, implementation, management, and ongoing support of the organization's LAN/WAN infrastructure. This role combines hands-on network administration with strategic oversight of network architecture, performance, and security. The position supports day-to-day operations and long-term initiatives across corporate offices and operational facilities, ensuring a secure, high-performing, and reliable network environment

Essential Duties:



  • Implement and maintain standardized configurations across Cisco and Meraki networking platforms.
  • Monitor network performance and security using tools such as SolarWinds Orion, SNMP, Syslog, and TACACS+.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot network performance issues, including traffic analysis and protocol optimization.
  • Lead or collaborate with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors on projects involving network upgrades, expansions, or issue resolution.
  • Establish and maintain documentation standards, change control, and operational processes for the network.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring critical network functions can be restored after disruptions.
  • Recommend and evaluate emerging networking technologies, tools, and vendors for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of the organization's information security posture through network policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot VPNs, firewalls, and network services such as DNS and DHCP.
  • Respond to network incidents in alignment with incident management practices, maintaining clear documentation.
  • Support server, desktop, and application teams as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work on-call as part of a rotation for after-hours support.


Requirements:



  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Cisco CCNA certification required; CCNP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in network administration in a mid-sized or enterprise environment.
  • Familiarity with VPNs, IPSEC, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS, and routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP.


Preferred Requirements:



  • Good working knowledge of and hands-on experience with Cisco /Meraki technologies is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of a variety of routing protocols, Palo Alto firewalls and monitoring tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and solve them, creating solutions that are practical, cost effective, reliable and meet the needs of the business.


Working Conditions:



  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and work on their feet as required
  • Must qualify for Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • Hybrid Role
