101682 - Medical Assistant-Occupational Health - Full Time - Days - Rochester

This position is based out of the HFHS Rochester EHS office however the expectation is this candidate will travel throughout South-East Michigan to help support EHS initiatives at various locations.

Medical Assistant Occupational Health - 40 Hours - Days

$2,500 Sign-on Bonus

Shift: Days 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. No weekends.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Assists with the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.

Responsibilities:

• Aids with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse. Performs select clinical duties including completing the Return-to-Work authorization checklist and process for associates returning from a leave of absence.
• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients' charts. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
• Fulfills basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
• Performs basic materials management functions to include ordering and stocking of supplies. Assists with maintaining a clean and orderly environment.
