Experienced Quality Technician

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is now accepting applications for a full-time experienced Quality Technician to work as a member of our Carbide Quality team. In this customer-forward position, you would provide quality assurance services and client support at our fast-paced manufacturing facility in Saxonburg, PA. Primary responsibility will be working with various manufacturing teams and our clients to achieve quality production and continually improve the processes to ensure customer satisfaction.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • Engage clients on quality requirements, assessments, and challenges
  • Work with manufacturing teams to deliver product that meets or exceeds customer quality standards
  • Perform inspections and audits of materials and audit manufacturing processes and logs
  • Identify and report discrepancies with standard
  • Assist in training on inspection procedures and equipment
  • Work with cross functional teams both internal and external as needed
  • Assist with troubleshooting and cause and corrective action investigations.
  • Create and maintain documents using the computer.
  • Assist in development of Quality documentation (FMEA, DOE, PPAP, FAIR, MSA, SPC)
  • Update and maintain the quality database.



Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills:











  • Solid knowledge of blueprint reading, inspection/measurement equipment and inspection techniques




  • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and deadlines






  • Strong math, mechanical, statistical and problem-solving skills






  • Strong technical reading, comprehension and writing abilities.






  • Visual acuity (20/20 vision or corrective lenses)






  • Proficient computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite






  • Able to work well independently and cooperatively with teams






  • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivated, able to effectively manage multiple tasks.




  • Strong ability to professionally communicate using both verbal and written skills.




Education/Experience:



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • One of the following:

    • Associate degree in Metrology with CQT certification or above.
    • Journeyworker paper in Quality Assurance
    • Minimum 5 year's work experience in a Quality role with CQT certification or above.
