Battery Raw Materials Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Battery Raw Materials Engineer to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the development and evaluation of raw materials for battery chemistry. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in materials science, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional and global teams

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Lead the development and evaluation of raw materials for battery chemistry, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews and assessments of material properties, compatibility, and performance
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to integrate new materials into battery production processes
  • Develop and implement testing protocols to evaluate the effectiveness and reliability of raw materials
  • Provide technical guidance and support for the development of materials used in batteries
  • Stay continuously informed of new industry advancements, standards, and best practices in battery materials
  • Prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and training materials to internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material selection and battery performance
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in materials engineering or a similar role
  • Proven experience in developing and evaluating raw materials for battery chemistry
  • Strong understanding of material properties, testing methods, and current industry standards for battery materials
  • Proficiency in using engineering tools and software for materials analysis and design
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities


Preferred Qualifications:




  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in a related field



  • Experience in the battery or energy storage industries



  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification



  • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies
