Job SummaryThis position will support the development, testing and validation of new product technologies for our Home and Personal Care Appliances division (HPC). Under supervision of a senior engineer, the R&D Technician II will work on the design and development of new products, processes, and test methods. Decisions and work outputs of this position will have significant impact on the success of new product and technology launches. This is an on-site position that requires working from our Middleton, WI headquarters. Support R&D team in the design, development, testing and verification of new products and concepts including Performance capability, Product reliability, & Manufacturing validation. Design and execute experiments with appropriate DOE execution and data analysis utilizing statistical methods. Manage and conduct tests and trials in a laboratory and manufacturing environments. Develop timelines and milestones for projects, identify risks and issues, and develop appropriate plans to address and provide summary reports and recommendations. Assess product operation and performance and provide recommendations for improvements in areas such as user experience, product performance, reliability, and cost. Support 3D Printing Lab with creating print builds, machine operation, post-processing and equipment and lab maintenance. Utilize troubleshooting skills to determine, document and present root cause analysis. Establish new and unique test methods and procedures for evaluating materials, processes, and performance. Train technicians and engineers on newly established protocols. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Education and Experience Profile Bachelor's or Associate degree in a STEM major and 2 years of related experience. In lieu of a degree, 2 years of college coursework in STEM field and 4 years of related experience. Experience with Solidworks or equivalent 3D modeling software. 1 year of additive manufacturing and prototyping experience. Prior experience in the development of kitchen or personal care appliances is a big plus. Required Skills
