POSITION SUMMARY


The Rehabilitation Services Receptionist works in a team setting with a significant amount of multi-tasking, including administrative duties involved with coordinating patient and therapist schedules as well as completing eligibility checks, prior authorizations, insurance verification, benefit details, monitoring incoming faxes, pre-registrations, and managing copay information in EPIC, along with assisting in billing, file management and office cleanliness and organization.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

- Education/Licensure/Certification or credentials

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent


Preferred:

  • Active CPR certification or able to obtain within 6 months of hire


- Skill/Experience/Competency

  • Experience with customer service.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred- 1 year receptionist experience.
  • Preferred- experience with EPIC electronic medical record.
  • Competent computer knowledge and able to utilize all Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to perform essential duties with detail and accuracy.
  • Aptitude to multi-task and handle duties with interruptions effectively.
  • Accuracy and Proficiency with typing skills.

- Physical Demands

  • The ideal candidate must be able to work and complete all physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Light work seldom may lift not more than 50 lbs. maximum with assistance, with occasional lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Generally, the position involves sitting, desk work and computer duties.
