What does a Senior Scrum Master at Swire Coca Cola do?
The Senior Scrum Master is responsible for facilitating and organizing multiple scrum teams within IT. This contributor works with skilled developers, translators, and product owners to track and manage work, maintain team ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint demos and reviews, retros, and other team meetings as needed) and champion the engagement of each team member.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently
- Coach the team on Agile practices and help the organization embrace Agile as a culture
- Assist the Data and Insights Leadership in teaching and structuring agile development practices
- Remove impediments and obstacles that prevent the team from achieving its sprint goals
- Ensure that the team is working efficiently and at a sustainable pace by tracking progress using metrics like burndown charts and velocity reports
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well defined, prioritized, and understood by the team
- Assist in the development of clear user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring the team understands requirements
- Manage cross-functional collaboration and communication between different stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and business
- Encourage continuous improvement within the team by facilitating process optimization and feedback loops
- Create Capacity and Utilization reports to ensure Data and Insights Leadership has visibility on the teams capacity
- Serve as a servant leader for the Scrum team, promoting self-organization and helping the team adhere to Agile principles and values
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business (MBA) or STEM related field required
- Master's Degree in business (MBA) or STEM related field preferred
- Certified Scrum Developer (CSD) preferred
- Certified Scrum Manager preferred
- 2+ years working experience as a Scrum Master in a fast-paced Agile environment
- 2+ years working experience Scrum methodology, Agile frameworks, and other project management tools such as Kanban, Lean, and XP required
- 2+ years experience with Agile project management tools like Azure DevOps, Rally, Jira or Trello required
- 1+ years ability to coach and mentor Agile teams in adopting Agile best practices and adapting to changes preferred
- 1+ years working with cross-functional teams to produce technology products required
- 2+ years knowledge of software development lifecycle and technology delivery processes is a plus preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
