Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Rental Manager in Gaithersburg, Virginia. The Rental Manager is responsible for managing and controlling the rental store/stores to ensure a safe, efficient and profitable operation to support the rental store/stores and corporate objectives by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate Team Members. Seeking candidates with a minimum of three years' management experience in a service related industry. Minimum of two years supervisory experience. Experience in the Rental Equipment Industry preferred. Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred Requirements for the Rental Manager position include: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Must be able to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Must be able to function well in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. Must be able travel frequently - overnight and out of town. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Promote a positive customer experience. Physical requirements must be met for the Rental Manager job, including regularly being required to sit and talk or hear. Starting Compensation Range: $75,000- $90,000 a year Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, candidate qualifications, education, geographic location, and other relevant business factors. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance e.g. discretionary incentive programs or non-discretionary incentive plans.
