Job Objective:
Supports projects, installs and maintains facility instrumentation and electrical to ensure a safe, comfortable, operating environment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Identifies current and future Instrumentation/Controls/electrical requirements by establishing a rapport with management, engineering, production personnel, technicians, and other persons in a position to understand controls requirements.
- Installs and repairs electrical components as necessary to support ongoing operations and facility upgrades.
- 480VAC motor controls and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of medium voltage switchgear and motor controls safe work practices up to 13,800VAC
- 480VAC Motor controls and troubleshooting.
- PLC and DCS maintenance and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of PLC and DCS communications protocols, modbus, ethernet, contronet, and devicenet.
- Troubleshooting and maintenance of VFD's
- Direct oversight of onsite vendors.
- Ensures production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance, and installation of controls equipment.
- Working directly with vendors to source materials with a cost effective mindset.
- Supports product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans, discussing equipment needs and modifications, coordinating activities with other facility crafts.
- Supports and maintains Electronic, Mechanical and Pneumatic instrumentation of various types and manufacturers for pressure temperature and flow
- Supports and maintains Facility Automation and SCADA Equipment.

Qualifications:
- Seven (7) years minimum experience required in instrumentation and electrical maintenance. Oil and gas field experience preferred.
- Electrical journeymen's card preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to accurately solve problems.
- Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.).
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, and the public.
- Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
Education Requirements:
- Work requires an educational background normally acquired through a degree in Instrumentation, Process Control, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
- Certification/Education may be substituted for a maximum of 2 years of experience.
