Scientist Level IV

Job Duties (Description of specific duties in a typical workday for this position):



  • Serve as experimentation lead, planning and executing exercises for JPEO HQs and updating strategic campaign plans.
  • Review technology maturity and applicability with technical leads across JPEO.
  • Advise on risk planning, process improvement, and transition to advanced development.
  • Act as SME during all phases of exercise development and execution.
  • Support program leadership by preparing briefs, technical reports, and meeting documentation.
  • Coordinate site visits and serve as key representative in stakeholder meetings.
  • Guide CONOPS development and support S&T transition to production and fielding.
  • Propose strategy updates and exercise plan changes to improve cost, schedule, and performance outcomes.
  • Collaborate across multiple product teams to evaluate technical results and support decision-making.
  • Stay informed on new technologies and relevant CONOPS to benefit ongoing programs.



Requirements (Years of experience, Education, Certifications):



  • Master's degree in science, engineering, or a related field with 10 years of general and 6 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related discipline with 15 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Secret clearance required



Nice to Have:



  • Experience managing experimentation to evaluate new technologies and operational concepts
  • Familiarity with CBRN Defense, counter-proliferation/nonproliferation policy, and strategy
  • Experience in WMD elimination, treaty compliance, safety, or readiness programs
