We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to join our team as a Hockey Operations Assistant with marketing and social media responsibilities. The Hockey Operations Assistant will support our hockey operations, develop marketing content and manage our social media presence. The ideal candidate should have a passion for hockey, excellent communication skills, and a creative mindset for marketing and social media management.

Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the Hockey Operations Manager in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our hockey programs, and the production of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, website content, and email campaigns.
  • Assist the Hockey Operations Manager in the planning for hockey tournaments and leagues, including scheduling, logistics, registration, and participant communications
  • Assist the Hockey Operations Manager in managing online registration platforms, collecting fees, and maintaining accurate participant records
  • Manage and maintain our social media accounts, creating engaging content, monitoring analytics, and responding to inquiries and comments.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of community events, promotional activities, and fundraising initiatives.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, and inventory management.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, marketing techniques, and social media best practices to enhance our online presence.
  • Collaborate with coaches, staff members, and volunteers to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
  • Provide assistance during tournaments, leagues, and events as needed.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Creative mindset with ability to develop engaging marketing materials.
