Position Summary

The Logistics Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring the continuity of shipping raw materials, drug substance, and drug product and supplies at optimum financial levels and within compliance standards following globally agreed shipping processes.

This position is remote with a corporate headquarters in Foster City, CA and Parsippany, NJ. The Senior Manager will report to the Senior Director, Supply Chain Management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with the shipping functions at the Company's third-party vendors
  • Generate and complete necessary paperwork to meet shipping and import/export needs, as required
  • Manage communications with transportation carriers to ensure shipping schedules are met
  • Mitigate any issues during shipping (e.g., customs delays, storage, etc.) and check all shipments arrive in good order and as expected
  • Evaluate carrier performance, negotiate carrier rates, and maintain shipping operations within budget without compromising speed or efficiency
  • Liaise with internal departments to understand future shipping requirements
  • Develop strategies to solve logistical issues and improve logistical efficiencies
  • Support clinical supply process as needed

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent amount of education and experience required Minimum of 5 years of progressive related work experience
  • Experience in a GMP environment strongly preferred
  • Prior experience managing international shipping activities
  • Experience in the use of suitable software packages to meet the requirements of operational activities

Salary Statement:

Offered compensation is determined based on market data, internal equity, and an applicant's relevant skills, experience, and educational background. The salary ranges displayed below are only for those who, if selected for the role, will perform work in the specific locations listed. Please note the employment opportunity is not limited to these locations.

General Salary Range: $130,000 to $150,000
