Technical Program and Applications Manager

This role is a primary resource for our largest and most profitable business division. Duties will include supporting industry platform leaders, and sales managementin driving cross-functional initiatives, aligning stakeholders, and delivering program sales across all Industry Platforms. With a primary focus of capturing, developing, and implementing our SPL Program initiative.

The role suits a highly capable and ambitious self-starter with a blend of strong technical, problem solving, and entrepreneurial skills. The position offers a broad variety of projects to ensure our industry platform leaders and sales management teams receive unparalleled support. This position will report to the Group Vice President of Technology and Innovation.

Responsibilities



  • Partner with industry leaders/sales management/field reps and align program support accordingly. Heavily weighted in the Steel and Pulp/Paper industries
  • Lead development of SPL training, marketing materials, and program development
  • Focused on simplification of plant survey program development, improve quote efficiency for sales management/field reps, and improvement of sales management/ field rep presentations, demos, and seminars
  • Alignment with the Innovation Team to develop and expand our condition based lubrication programs and implementation
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert during customer-facing sessions
  • Supports industry leaders/sales management / field reps with technical expertise on SPL programs and condition based monitoring initiatives
  • Collaborate with sales reps/managers to understand regional needs, support pre-sales engagements, and program execution strategies
  • Plan, schedule, and deliver engaging product seminars, and demos for customers - both on site and virtually if needed
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for technical programs and application capabilities, staying up to date on product updates, industry equipment and trends
  • Support strategic growth initiatives by gathering customer feedback and sharing within specific industry platform
  • Assist in development of program collateral, including presentation decks, training materials, and engagement toolkits
  • Track and report on weekly program sales results, effectiveness, next action steps and customer engagement outcomes
  • Travel to customer sites, rep field training, trade shows, and internal meetings as needed (average 3 weeks per month)
  • Track results and reporting on customers, products, programs, and strategic initiatives to drive insights, inform decisions, and support overall business impact for customers and reps
  • Utilize systems/programs such as, Excel, PDF, Teams, Certified App, Salesforce, LinkedIn, to identify new contacts, track interactions, teach/train, record sales/opportunities, calendar planning, and report on weekly training performance in addition to seminar sales results

  • Analytical, organized and results focused with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously



Qualifications and education requirements



  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or supplemental experience and practical skills in industrial or technical field
