The overarching goal of all initiatives will be to demonstrate a reduction in health inequities and a measurable improvement in community health outcomes in MGB priority communities. The Community Health Evaluation and Reporting team is seeking an experienced data analyst to provide analytic support for community health reporting and compliance functions at Mass General Brigham and program evaluation for system-wide community-based initiatives. The best candidate has solid analytical, data visualization, and communication skills, and experience working with health care data. The incumbent will develop data collections tools with key stakeholders to track and monitor patient and community-level outcomes, analyze results, and synthesize findings into dashboards, reports, and presentations. The Data Analyst will become an expert within the Community Health domain, acquire in-depth knowledge of workflows across various settings, be a subject matter on publicly available community-level and census data, and conduct routine and complex analyses to address stakeholder needs and meet compliance reporting requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for building and maintaining key relationships with staff, providing evaluation and data advice, and sharing knowledge. The candidate will also be responsible for rigorous quality assurance and presenting analytical findings to diverse audiences in an accessible manner. Principle Duties And Responsibilities 1. Assessment and planning - Community Health Needs Assessment - Co-lead the collection and interpretation of primary/qualitative data including developing surveys, focus groups, and interviews using tools such as RedCap, participate in regional collaboratives and working groups to share knowledge on publicly available community-level data such as from the DPH, BRFSS, or CHIA, and co-lead the synthesis of primary and secondary data for reports and presentations 2. Community Health Program Evaluation - Collaborate with community health teams to understand program goals and strategies across various workstreams. Develop theories of change and evaluation plans to inform program improvement. Create and train staff on data collection tools. Serve as an expert on internal MGB patient data sources such as Epic and external community data sources. Guide and train new team members by familiarizing them with the data products they will use and provide them with relevant information about the Community Health domains. Coordinate as needed with MGB Data and Analytics. - Utilize a variety of tools (E.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, Excel) to access data, write queries, develop programming logic, create dashboards, manipulate, and analyze large datasets to meet the needs of Community Health. Apply appropriate data cleaning procedures and organize and structure data efficiently. Pull data from a variety of internal and external sources to develop dashboards using Tableau for senior leadership to track and monitor metrics and outcomes. Complete thorough quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy, reliability, trustworthiness, and validity of work. 3. Compliance and Reporting - Participate in all required compliance reporting including to the IRS, MA Attorney General, MA DPH, and grantors, play a lead role in the administration and maintenance of tracking and grant management tools, such as AGS Prime. 4. Presentation - Present analytical findings in a variety of formats (reports, PowerPoint, graphs, figures, tables, dashboards), formulate recommendations, and effectively communicate results to non-analytic audiences. 5.
