An Entry-Level Electrical Engineer position is currently available with Belcan in Windsor, CT. This position requires in-office support, but a hybrid schedule can be considered for exceptional candidates. This is a full-time, direct job with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have at least a bachelor"s degree in electrical engineering and between 0 and 3 years of experience in industry. In this role you will use your degree to support an industry leading aerospace company to ensure the long-term sustainability of critical aerospace systems through component obsolescence management. You will leverage your experience to evaluate component lifecycle data, identify form-fit-function replacements, and support engineering change implementation. Job duties:
* Identify and qualify alternate components for obsolete or end-of-life parts.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing to implement component changes.
* Utilize tools such as SiliconExpert, IHS, or Octopart to track obsolescence risks and source alternatives.
* Maintain and update component databases and BOMs using PLM systems (e.g., Windchill, Teamcenter).
* Support risk assessments and mitigation planning for long-term product sustainment.
* Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to client stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in electrical engineering or related engineering discipline
* 0-3 years of electrical engineering experience
* Solid understanding of electronic components and their specifications.
* Ability to interpret datasheets and technical documentation.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and collaboration skills
* Due to the nature of the work, U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED.

Desired Qualifications:
* Internship or co-op experience in electronics, aerospace, or lifecycle engineering.
* Demonstrated electrical design engineering experience
* Familiarity with PLM and ECAD tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, Windchill).
* Exposure to obsolescence management tools and databases.

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $65,000 to $85,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k), education assistance, paid time off, including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
