This is a unique opportunity to support local government initiatives in Colorado Springs. You'll contribute to meaningful public sector work while expanding your security expertise. Description The contractor will perform in-depth security reviews for both new and existing technologies-including software, hardware, networks, cloud, and AI-based services-with a strong focus on compliance and risk documentation. This role also includes providing technical support for security incidents, email security, malware alerts, Active Directory tasks, MFA, and Entra ID operations. Key Requirements: * Minimum 5 years of hands-on information security experience * Deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks: NIST SP 800-53, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, CJIS * Strong technical writing and analytical skills * Ability to quickly learn and assess unfamiliar technologies and identify potential security risks * Practical experience in incident response, malware analysis, and tier 1/2 security operations * Proficiency with Active Directory, MFA, and Microsoft Entra ID * Demonstrated experience in GRC processes * Eligibility for CJIS clearance upon hire Work Environment *First month: Fully on-site Ongoing: Hybrid schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays required; third in-office day based on team coverage) Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
