Join our Commodities and Global Markets group as a Portfolio Coverage analyst within the Commodity Markets and Finance division. Based in New York, this role will focus on supporting our Latin American lending activities and involve deal oversight and portfolio management for a portfolio of commodity-focused loans and structured physical commodity transactions. Our Commodity Markets and Finance Division provides a full spectrum offering to clients with exposure to commodities. Commodity Markets and Finance provides risk management, financing, physical execution and logistics across the full spectrum of commodities and in all regions.

What role will you play?

In this role, you will collaborate with the Latin America-focused deal team and internal stakeholders during the structuring, approval, and lifecycle management of lending and structured trade transactions. Your responsibilities include identifying and addressing risks, presenting risk mitigation controls for approvals, ensuring proper documentation of controls and conditions, and assigning responsibilities to ensure compliance throughout the transaction's lifecycle. You will also manage a portfolio of transactions by analyzing financial information, maintain communication with customers and external parties, and provide regular portfolio updates to internal stakeholders.
Salary range for this position: $120,000 - $140,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. What you offer

  • Qualifications in finance, accounting, engineering, data science or other quantitative disciplines, ideally with postgraduate studies, with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong commercial orientation and an understanding of banking, financial analysis and risk-related issues.
  • Detail oriented with very strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess a sense of urgency and accountability, ability to respond to tight deadline requirements.
  • Spanish language fluency is essential; Portuguese language skills would be positive but not essential.
