  • Salary range - $110,000 to $130,000

AFOTEC Senior Test Planning & Analysis/Modeling & Simulation Analyst SME - TS/SCI Clearance

SUMMARY:

The assigned Senior Test & Evaluation Analyst. Analyst will interface with AFOTEC HQ (Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Headquarters) and DoD Test Ranges to plan, develop, and execute Modeling and Simulation (M&S) test capabilities to support assessments and evaluations to determine mission effectiveness and suitability of systems under test for military operations. Analyst will perform as well as support the development, planning/coordination and scheduling of M&S test resources to execute operational test requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Participate in a broad range of engineering, technical and analytical test services in support of Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E)
  • Provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) for M&S based inputs for test design, planning, execution, and reporting
  • Contribute to reviews and analysis in test planning, test capability, test execution and test reporting for various assessments of varying M&S test sizes and complexities
  • Support travel, on occasion, to various test ranges, System Under Test planning and technical interchanges and program related M&S conferences, as required
  • Perform Test Planning and Analysis of M&S Programs within the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC)
  • Interface/interact/correspond/communicate regularly with the AFOTEC HQ, AFOTEC Detachments, Test Teams, USN, Foreign Partners, and DoD Test Ranges personnel to execute early development, planning, and M&S test requirements to support AFOTEC lead Test and Evaluation programs
  • Will be determining potential M&S capabilities and test requirements for future military mission level operational test and evaluations for a variety of test and evaluation programs
  • Assist in the identification, coordination, and the scheduling of resources to develop and support Verification and Validation of test requirements
  • Answer non-routine correspondence and assemble confidential and sensitive information for follow-on actions within the related programs as they relate to M&S requirements and DoD, USAF, and AFOTEC processes and procedures associated with the planning, executing, and reporting of Accrediting M&S systems used to support OT&E
  • Prepare general correspondence, proofread for spelling, grammar, and layout; responsible for accuracy and clarifying final drafts
  • Organize and prioritize large volumes of information and requests for information (RFIs)
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, as required, for tracking programs and project details


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or a related technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) programs, preferably within a Department of Defense (DoD) or Air Force environment.
  • Proven experience providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) related to Modeling and Simulation (M&S) in support of test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with AFOTEC (Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center) processes, procedures, and M&S capabilities.(Preferred)
  • Ability to conduct Test Planning and Analysis of M&S programs and support Verification and Validation (V&V) activities.
  • Experience identifying M&S capabilities and defining test requirements for future mission-level operational test programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, for maintaining spreadsheets and tracking program/project information.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally to support test ranges, planning sessions, technical interchanges, and M&S conferences.
