What you'll do

As Legal Operations Manager, you will focus on maximizing the Legal team's efficiency and effectiveness through the strategic implementation and optimization of Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform. You will drive value by implementing solutions for the legal team, partnering with product and IT teams, and enabling marketing and field teams to showcase Docusign's internal success.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Legal Operations.

Responsibility

  • Implement Docusign products to deliver significant business value to the Legal team, streamlining workflows, improving operational efficiency, and helping Docusign extract and act upon insights from agreements

  • Partner closely with the Docusign product team to conduct beta tests of new IAM features, providing critical feedback to enhance the product and ensure it meets the needs of enterprise-level legal departments

  • Serve as liaison between Legal department subject matter experts and product development teams exploring potential new features

  • Develop and execute strategies to enable marketing and field teams to effectively communicate the Docusign@Docusign IAM story, creating compelling use cases and demonstrations that highlight the benefits for Docusign operations

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and adoption of Docusign solutions with existing infrastructure and processes

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the Legal department, leveraging Docusign products and other technologies to streamline operations and reduce manual effort

  • Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and best practices related to the use of Docusign products within the Legal team

  • Track key metrics and report on the impact of Docusign solutions on Legal operations, providing insights to stakeholders and driving continuous improvement

  • Support legal and cross-functional projects as they arise


Job Designation

Remote: Employee is not required to be in or near an office frequently and works from a designated remote work location for the majority of the time.

Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.


What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's degree
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant legal operations or other experience, with a focus on technology implementation and process improvement
  • Experience with legal technologies supporting agreement processes, such as contract lifecycle management, and an understanding of their capabilities
  • Experience using generative AI, large language models and machine learning tools to accelerate and improve law department operations

Preferred

  • Excellent judgment, attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications skills, including a willingness and excitement to speak on behalf of Docusign
  • Comfortable handling ambiguity and managing goals and deadlines in a very fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively collaborate cross-functionally across teams with a team attitude that no job is too big or too small
  • Ability to maintain productive work relationships and work collaboratively with legal area specialists and other business counterparts to resolve issues
  • Experience with Docusign products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $126,900.00 - $197,800.00 base salary

Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts and Minnesota: $120,800.00 - $166,100.00 base salary

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $120,800.00 - $174,525.00 base salary

Washington DC: $126,900.00 - $174,525.00 base salary

Ohio: $106,300.00 - $146,125.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
