About the Role:

This job description outlines the role of a Customer Inquiry Administrator, who is responsible for managing the distribution of incoming customer inquiries and creating corresponding opportunities in the ERP system. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong coordination and communication skills to ensure smooth RFQ processing and fulfillment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct an administrative review of customer-issued request for quotes
  • Input received request for quotation and leads from internal and external customers in our ERP System
  • Assign request for quote utilizing distribution matrix
  • Collaborate with sales and Application Engineers to coordinate customer request fulfillment
  • Field incoming national 800 # phone calls
  • Supporting all the functions and responsibilities of the central Customer Sales Support Team

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must work on-site in a lab
  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of data entry and customer service experience
  • Familiarity with government contractual review processes

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and follow-through ability
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow specific process instructions and work within well-defined procedures
  • Capable of handling semi-routine tasks while recognizing when deviations are necessary

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
