YOUR ROLE



  • Responsible for defining best solutions and for finding and securing most competitive rate and service as part of overall global Ocean core carrier strategy.
  • Provide solutions and rates to external and internal customers in timely manner.
  • Support sales and business development efforts as well as the global network in the area of strategic pricing.


WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?



  • Receive RFQ and analyze material from internal or external customers to determine structure for strategy to support business need from Ocean Product perspective.
  • Gather required pricing from internal stakeholders, tools and vendors for preparation of complex quotes.
  • Present strategy with industry trend background information and final solutions to key internal stakeholders.
  • Integrate Ocean carrier supply and demand, competitor actions and other capacity related factors into rate decisions.
  • Follow up on quotations.
  • Propose and implement continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback, best practices, KPI and reports.
  • Prepare and share with internal stakeholders regular updates on RFQ performance (per carrier, per customer, per lane) and support company's policy in view of carrier management
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?




  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED; bachelor's degree preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of the product line and services.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry trends including carrier rate actions
  • Strong financial and analytical skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, web based and specific job related software applications.
  • Capable of communicating and interacting with multi functional and diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment to achieve results.
  • Effective planning and organizational skills.
