OUC - The Reliable One, is presently seeking a Senior Marketing Designer to join the Marketing & New Products division. - Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Marketing, or a related field (such as Fine Arts, Digital Media, Illustration, or Web Design)
- 5+ years of progressive experience in visual design across print, digital, and advertising media, with full lifecycle (end-to-end) project ownership
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Strong foundation of design principles and creative production (including visual hierarchy, typography, layout design, and brand governance)
- Excellent project and time management skills, and the ability to multiple projects with competing deadlines
- Strong collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong portfolio showcasing diverse, high-quality design work that reflects creativity, brand consistency, and attention to detail
- Experience creating custom illustrations and branded visual elements to support print, digital, and multimedia campaigns is a plus

Job Purpose: Conceptualize, design, and implement engaging creative solutions across print, multimedia and digital content to achieve marketing goals. Coordinate the design and production of internal and external promotional materials including design layout, asset generation, proofing and production control. Coach and mentor other designer(s) and partner with vendor(s) in creating concepts, compositions, layouts and final art. Monitor and ensure design projects are delivered on time and in adherence to brand and style standards and guidelines. Primary Functions:
- Coordinate the design and production of cutting-edge and engaging print and digital graphic solutions from concept through completion. Ensure that OUC's marketing collateral, advertisements, customer newsletters, direct mail, interactive applications and other design projects and materials are kept on schedule and adhere to OUC's graphic standards;
- Create visual designs and marketing collateral, advertising, and promotional materials that resonate with OUC's target audience, collaborating with the marketing, communications and product teams to conceptualize designs, ensuring brand consistency across various media platforms, while constantly refining designs based on feedback and market trends;
- Provide creative direction, project support and coordination for external creative solutions. Collaborate with internal teams and OUC vendors to produce marketing and communications materials, including photography, illustrations, videos, games, and other assets;
- Coordinate, maintain, update and communicate OUC Graphic Brand Standards;
- Review logo requests from other departments and outside vendors and create recommended courses of action based on changes in creative direction or business needs;
- Oversee the maintenance and organization of OUC's extensive collection of creative assets, including images, illustrations, informational graphics and design files on servers and in the digital asset manager (Bynder);
- Develop other creative materials for marketing, communications, community engagement or Marketing and New Products (MNP) projects as requested (i.e. special events, social media or experiential marketing solutions);
- Coach, mentor, and train other designers;
- Proof and quality check other designer's creative work;
- Monitor OUC brand standards;
- Utilize and interact with internal clients via project management system, Wrike
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Technical Requirements:
- Working knowledge of all, but not limited to, the following:
- Adobe Creative Cloud products (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, etc.);
- Marketing, web and digital content best-practices;
- Multimedia and digital content creation;
- Project management methodologies;
- Working with creative vendors including photographers, videographers and illustrators;
- Familiarity with all, but not limited to, the following:
- OUC Marketing Guidelines (brand standards information and specs);
- MAC and PC platforms;
- Related industry, organizational and departmental policies, practices, and procedures; legal guidelines, ordinances, and laws;
- Ability to:
- Be creative and innovative;
- Capable of being organized, detail oriented, and problem solving;
- Must be flexible in changing project deadlines and work environment; and have efficient time management skills; Proven experience meeting tight deadlines and juggling competing priorities and client needs successfully.
- Demonstrate strong conceptualization skills showing the ability to creatively express marketing ideas;
- Coordinate and monitor projects through completion;
- Utilize specialized software to complete work assignments and generate activity reports;
- Communicate effectively with co-workers and community partners to accomplish business objectives;
- Understand and apply governmental accounting practices in maintenance of financial records;
- Make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals, rates, ratios, and percentages;
- Use Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, etc.).
Education/ Certification/ Years of Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Interactive Design, Marketing ,or related field of study from an accredited college or university;
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in the creative/marketing field to include:
- Designing and producing a wide variety of design projects, including branding, print, advertising, and digital design;
- Experience overseeing digital and print projects.
