Responsibilities

The Individual Therapist conducts assessments, develops, and executes treatment plans, facilitates individual and group therapy, and provides clinical support to their assigned program as needed.

Essential Duties:

  • Facilitate individual and group therapies with young adults/adolescents within the framework of Newport Healthcare's clinical model.
  • Complete risk assessment and initial safety plan upon admission, and biopsychosocial assessment and treatment plan within timeline requirements.
  • Coordinate treatment goals and services in collaboration with client's treatment team, with 30-day treatment plan reviews and updates.
  • Provide progress updates to parents in collaboration with family therapist.
  • Conduct risk or crisis assessments and provide crisis intervention/management as needed.
  • Complete documentation (assessments, treatment plans, progress and group notes, discharge summary) timely and according to established standards.
  • Attend weekly treatment team meetings, staff meetings, and clinical supervision.
  • Attend meetings, trainings and conferences representing Newport Healthcare as needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field or enrollment in Doctorate program from an accredited or state approved graduate school required.
  • Licensed or ability to transfer license in Marriage Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work or Clinical Psychologist in the state in which services are provided
  • Experience with individual, family, and/or group therapy with adolescents/young adults required.
  • Experience with mental health, substance abuse, eating disorders or trauma-informed treatment preferred.

Compensation for this role ranges from$68,000-$91,000 depending on education and experience.
