Associate Consultants have responsibility for assisting in one or more engagement work streams in the implementation of complex, comprehensive consulting solutions across our healthcare clients. This role builds relationships with client staff and leadership to help our consultants assess their needs through complex and comprehensive quantitative and qualitative analytics. Associate Consultants work with client leaders to improve performance and maintain the appropriate level of support and momentum throughout the engagement.

Ideally seeking candidates to be based in Chicago. To work #bettertogether, we operate with a hybrid working model. For those near a hub location (Chicago or Boston) we gather in our office locations three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). For the remaining days, we work from home. Will consider remote / work from home candidates near a major airport.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports client interviews, focus groups and common cause analysis processes. Develop competency in assembling RFIs and maintain accountability for client data received. Utilize tools, methodologies and proprietary PG data to support project team analysis and recommendations. Synthesize and presents data to the consulting team.
  • Focuses on performing work in accordance with engagement plans and quality standards. Plans, organizes and prioritizes engagement activities using engagement plans and Mavenlink. Coordinates actions to get work completed efficiently and within timelines.
  • The primary role is to support the Consulting team and ensure all deliverables are ready and available. Observes presentations to develop on-site consulting skills. Prepared to answer questions related to analyses while onsite.
  • Regular communications with clients (day to day in office contact). Communicates professionally and effectively with client contacts.
  • Communicates information that may lead to business development opportunities. Should have a command and understanding of the solutions offered through Consulting.
  • Client Strategy & Facilitation: Support and co-facilitate strategic workshops with healthcare executives to define priorities, align leadership, and drive actionable outcomes.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify opportunities for improvement and present findings in a clear, compelling manner.
  • Program Optimization: Assist in designing and implementing strategies to enhance program delivery, efficiency, and patient outcomes.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate and communicate with diverse stakeholders, including hospital executives, public health leaders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Project Management: Help manage timelines, deliverables, and documentation to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in consulting, strategic planning, or public health analysis.
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and ability to accurately gauge others to appropriately guide thinking and behavior, especially in difficult situations
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities at once with fast paced turnaround times
  • Flexible learning mind-set to fully understand and integrate PG methodology with a high level of critical thinking and ability to navigate ambiguous and dynamic circumstances and environments
  • Strong writing skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Healthcare Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare systems, public health initiatives, and digital health technologies.
  • Facilitation & Communication: Strong skills in executive facilitation, strategic storytelling, and stakeholder communication.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in synthesizing complex data and translating insights into actionable strategies.
  • Tools & Methodologies: Experience with issue-based problem solving, strategic planning frameworks, and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI). Experience in visual storytelling through PowerPoint, effectively transforming complex data and strategic insights into compelling, executive-ready presentations.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. Master's is preferred.
  • Travel up to 50%

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $94,000to $115,000. It is not typical for offers to be made at or near the top of the range. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus or commission tied to achieved results.
