Department: Air Import
Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Overview:
A global leading Freight Forwarding/ Logistics company is looking for a motivated candidate for the opening of Billing Agent.
You'll play a crucial part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of import shipment billing and documentation. The main duties include generating invoices to mail out to customers and scanning documents as backups.
This position is a great junior level position if you have a strong eye for detail, enjoy working with numbers, are proficient with data entry, and are interested in developing your career in the international logistics industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Generate accurate billing invoices for assigned import shipments.
* Verify invoices for numerical accuracy and completeness.
* Gather and compile all necessary documentation, such as Bills of Lading, to prepare customer invoices.
* Calculate and verify freight charges and associated costs by thoroughly reviewing job documentation.
* Adjust job information on the EOF (Editor Order Form), including freight cost, quantity shipped, shipment date, method of shipment, and other billing-related details.
* Perform precise data entry of billing, cargo shipment, and delivery information into the company's system.
* Generate various reports, such as aging reports and monthly sales journals, ensuring timely delivery according to scheduled deadlines.
* Efficiently scan, organize, and file shipping documents and billing invoices for designated accounts.
* Communicate with assigned accounts and overseas offices to provide support and help troubleshoot any billing or documentation discrepancies.
Qualifications:
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Strong attention to detail to perform exceptional accuracy in data entry, calculations, and document review is paramount.
* Experience as billing or accounting support role is not required but a plus
* Ability to quickly learn and navigate specialized software systems, including the Unified Freight System (UFS) and other internal company platforms.
* Solid basic math skills for calculating charges and verifying financial data.
* A genuine interest in the logistics, supply chain, or freight forwarding industry.

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
